Lynden Boyd Williams, 72, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away on Sunday, October 6th, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family and dear friends. Lyndy was born on May 12, 1952, in Blackfoot, Idaho to Boyd Elmer Williams and Darlene Roberts Williams. He joined an older sister, older brother, and later 3 more brothers were added to the family. He grew up on a cattle ranch west of Moreland and they summered the herd on a ranch in the Grey's Lake area. He graduated from Snake River High School in 1970. In 1971 he married Pat Murdock, and they were blessed with two sons, Carter and Casey. They were later divorced. In March of 1984 he married Vicki Bullock and helped raise her two sons, Jarod and Jason.
He was taught the "Ranch Life" and fell in love with it. He loved horses and all that went with them. He had a good eye for finding both cattle and horses. He learned the occupation of buying and selling dairy cows and created a very profitable business. This allowed him to pursue his greatest love, team roping. He was able to excel in this sport and won many saddles, belt buckles, and monetary prizes. His love of this led him to spend several winters in Arizona where he could continue team roping year-round.
In his later life he loved seeing and talking to his grandsons over Facetime. He always wanted them to come visit and see his horses.
He is survived by his sons, Carter (Amy) of Orem, Utah, Casey (Megan) of Provo, Utah; stepsons, Jarod and Jason Holland of Blackfoot, Idaho; sister, Laraine (Richard) Jaggie, of Syracuse, Utah, brothers, David (Marilyn) of Sandy, Utah, Larry of Sandy, Utah, Dale of Blackfoot, Idaho, and Tim (Michelle) of Blackfoot, Idaho; six grandchildren, Anthony (Tyffnee) Mason, Tayler, Daxton (Sheriden), Henry, Jack, and Gus, two great-grandchildren, Tryg and Hazel, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Vicki.
The family would like to thank Lyndy and Vicki's dear friend, Shirley Henrickson, for the many years she has spent keeping track of and caring for them both, especially in their greatest times of need. They would also like to thank Cami Stanfield for the care she provided, including times when nursing skills were required.
