Randal Scott Bingham, 74, of Paradise, Utah, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 27, 2026, surrounded by his family.
Randy was born on October 6, 1951, in Hyrum, Utah, to Scott A. and Cora Jean (Allen) Bingham. He married Connie Sorenson in June 1972, and they later divorced.
After graduating from Sky View High School in 1970, Randy learned the mason trade on the job. He worked as a carpenter for many years at Thiokol before starting his own contracting business, Bingham Masonry, in 1996. Known for his attention to detail, Randy's high-quality craftsmanship quickly became sought after throughout the community. His work lives on in countless homes across Cache Valley and beyond.
From a young age, Randy loved anything to do with horses. A cowboy from the start, he found his greatest joy in team roping. He shared this passion with his daughter Annie when she was in high school, and the two roped together for several years as part of the Cache Valley Roping Club.
Over the years, he won numerous saddles, buckles, cash prizes, and even a pickup truck from roping competitions. For the last 10+ years, Randy spent his winters in Wickenburg, Arizona, team roping, of course. Each year, his stays grew longer as he enjoyed the warm weather and his many friendships.
Randy is survived by three daughters: Wendy Gunnell (Jared), Rosalie Bair (Jeff), and Andrea Baird; his grandchildren: Taylor Klopfenstein (Kaden), Ethan Gunnell, Ladd Gunnell, Kylie Ravsten (Chandler), Kaiden Bair, Cameron Baird, Kyle Baird, and Kourtney Baird; and his great-grandchildren: Nixon Ravsten, Knox Ravsten, and Cora Lynn Klopfenstein. He is also survived by one brother, Rodger A. Bingham; two sisters: Beverly Wilkinson (Scott) and Rebecca Bingham; his three beloved dogs, Carl, Kate, and Earl; and his horse, Strawberry.
