Day two of the 2024 Ariat World Series Team Roping Finale kicked off with the #14.5 Apex Next Evolution Finale, with Texans Jorge Jauregui Marrufo and Jose Rodriguez clocking a 26.87 seconds on four head to take home the championship title and a massive $162,000 payout—plus the deep Finale prizeline that includes Gist trophy buckles, Yeti Tunder Coolers, Cactus saddle pads, The roping paid all 30 holes in the short round, fast times in each of the three rotations, plus 10 holes in the consolation average. Consolation champions Casper and Cross Ringelstein, of Pleasanton, Texas, pocketed $22,500 for their time of 18.53 on three head.
Next up was the #13.5 Bloomer Qualifier Series, where Texans Orlando Jauregui and Shawn Gray claimed the win and a $52,500 check with a time of 29.14 on four head.
Dec. 7 was also the kick-off of the South Point Qualifier in the South Point's outdoor arena, starting with the Open qualifier.
