The Ariat World Series of Team Roping kicked off its 18th annual event on Friday, Dec. 6, 2024 at the South Point Equestrian Center, poised to break Western sports all-time payout record once again.
The #16.5 Add-On kicked off the WSTR Finale, with Idaho's Cole Eiguren and Alberta's Dillon Graham taking the win in the #16.5 Add On, lining out four steers in 25.31 seconds for a $29,000 payday.
In the #15.5 Priefert WSTR Finale, Texas's Miles Baker and Trey Johnson navigated a sharky short go to take the $66,500 win from the third high callback position. Baker and Johnson posted an aggregate of 28.56 second on four head, edging out No. 2 Clay McNichol and Catcher Gasperson by 0.35-of-a-second.
Saturday, Dec, 7 of the Ariat WSTR will continue the action with the #14.5 Apex Next Evolution WSTR Finale and the #13.5 Bloomer Qualifier Series, followed by the Riata Horse Sale Preview.
