Alice JoeAnn Branquinho, 81, passed away peacefully September 7, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born to Grace Ellinor and John A. Branquinho on June 20, 1943, in Santa Maria, California, but don't call her Alice! JoeAnn was raised in Garey and attended Blochman School in Sisquoc and later attended Santa Maria High School, graduating in 1961. Later that year, she married her high school sweetheart, John Barlogio, and together they raised their their children, in Nipomo.
Always an entrepreneur and successful business woman, she had many different ventures but was a saleswoman at heart. A cattlewoman, a cowgirl and competitive team roper, she loved hunting and the outdoors. She was an excellent cook and all who knew her have memories of the wonderful meals we shared.
She was a true friend to so many and will be greatly missed. JoeAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Ellinor and John Branquinho; her brother, Roy Lee Carpenter; and her sister, Dixie Jane Wardrop.
She is survived by her children, Teresa Deasee (Randy), Johnnie Barlogio (Kim) and Kristina Barlogio; and her grandchildren, Kaila Williams (Britt), Emilee Deasee (Joey Bohard), Chase Deasee (Jaclyn), Hayley Katz (Nick), Kassidy Hamer and Hayden Hamer. She was a great grandma to six with a new baby bear cub on the way.
She is also survived by her siblings, her loving brother, John Branquinho (Brandy), and sister Lori Gonsalves (Frank).
Numerous nieces and nephews will also miss their "Auntie Joe." She was so special to so many and loved her family so much!
JoeAnn is also survived by her loving friend and companion, Ron Munoz. They shared a love of the outdoors and a lifelong friendship.
