"The journey is the reward", and what a journey it has been.
On October 1, 2023, Richard (Rick) Woodrow Rosaschi with his loving wife by his side; along with numerous close friends and family, lost his battle with cancer. There are no words to describe this amazing man. He was a true leader, inspiring and motivating to all those he met. He was always willing to go above and beyond to help others achieve their goals. He built trust and above all, led by example.
Rick was born in Auburn, California to Woodrow and Mary Rosaschi. He grew up riding, roping and rodeoing. In 1998 he moved to Texas to follow his life-long dream as a horse trainer in the Quarter Horse industry. His many accomplishments include: (2) AQHA World Championship titles, (2) AQHA World Championship Reserve titles, numerous Top 10 Finalist awards, and the accumulation of over 10,000 AQHA Points. In 1999, he won (2) AQHA World Championship Reserve titles in Heading and Heeling, which led to winning the AQHA Super Horse Award for Look Whos Larkin. He was a Professional Horseman for well over 20 years and was recently inducted into the American Rope Horse Futurity Hall of Fame – a title well deserved.
Rick embraced each day and each ride and expected only the best. He was grateful for every day that he was able to do what he truly loved.
Rick leaves behind the love of his life, Lynda, numerous family members, and countless number of friends. He loved and had a true soft spot for children and animals. Although he never had children of his own, through marriage, he accumulated his share of children and grandchildren.
He will be truly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
We will never forget you, Rick!
