Joe Rios passed away December 12, 2022, he was 63 years old. A well-respected horseman that was not only an owner, Joe also worked as horse agent in the Quarter Horse racing industry. Joe was a lifetime resident of El Paso, TX. He is survived by wife Leslie Rios; daughter Callie Rios-Hall and husband Seth Hall; son Karl Rios and wife Kelly Rios and children Vida Kay and Joe Cruz Rios; as well as many other family members and friends. He was amazing horseman and had an eye for them that many will never know.Will they let him horse trade in heavenWill the sale ring be paved in goldWill all the good horses always remain soldHe loved El Paso and the horse called the Rio GrandeNow he is gathering bids by the river as it flows by the throneSo get your hands up high we will dang sure miss him He was a cowboy and a swapperHe was a friend I was proud to knowSo keep your ropes a swinging as you made it to the Short GoKeep your horses running into the windKeen on entering in the twirling cause El Paso will miss you don't you knowRest in Peace you river man we will all be here awaiting till we can rope together once again CM Jones
