Dalton Briar Heath, age 25, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at his home in Atkins, Virginia.
Briar was born in Wytheville, Virginia, on February 19, 2001. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, farming, roping, and riding horses. Briar had a deep passion for team roping and ranch rodeos and was an active member of 3M Productions, USTRC, and the Appalachian Team Roping Association. He was also a proud member of the Atkins Volunteer Fire Department.
Known for his kind heart and genuine care for others, Briar always put those around him first and was quick to lend a helping hand whenever someone was in need. He was a dedicated and hardworking young man who operated heavy equipment with JM Enterprises and also worked alongside his uncle at Fox Valley. Briar's love for his family, farming, and the sport of roping and riding will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Brenda Heath.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Curtis D. Heath and Kim Rogers Heath; sister, Rylie Bryn Heath and special friend, Levi; grandparents, David Heath, and Bobby and Regina Rogers; uncles and aunts, Seth and Brandi Heath, and Nicole and Anthony Rogers; his girlfriend Kelly and her children Lane and Lydia; several cousins; along with close family friends, Star Sexton, Justin McClellan, and his many friends from the roping and rodeo communities.
