Basil Anthony "Bucky" Nastri, Jr., 68, passed away Monday February 17, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Lisa (Ruch) Nastri.
Bucky was born November 27, 1956, to the late Basil Anthony Nastri, Sr. and Patricia (Dance) Nastri. Bucky attended Kaynor Tech and Bullard Havens Barber school. He successfully opened Head West Barber shop with Mickey DiMichele. Bucky then became a famous Equine Dentist. Bucky was an avid Yankee Fan, yet a greater fan of his son Trey who was an outstanding baseball player. Bucky was a natural born cowboy! Bucky was a calf roper and a fantastic team roper. He was a champion of the Pro Rodeo Cowboy Association, World Series and USTRC Team Ropers and Dodge National Rodeo Circuit finals qualifier. Bucky was loved by so many around the country for his loyalty, friendship and great sense of humor! He was the life of the party! Bucky will be greatly missed by all!
Besides his loving wife, Bucky is survived by his son Trey Nastri, his sister Kim Nastri, his brother Carmine Nastri and wife Sheri, his niece Shelby Nastri, his nephew Cooper Nastri and wife Ciara, his Aunt "Butch", his mentor Uncle "Rawhide" and many loving cousins and friends!
Bucky was predeceased by his mom Pat Nastri and sister Holly Nastri.
Bucky's family would like to thank all of their wonderful friends for their outpouring of love and support. He and the entire Nastri/Dance family were incredibly moved by the benefit held on January 31st, which was an overwhelming testament to how many lives Bucky has touched throughout his. The family will forever be touched by and grateful for those who were in attendance and do not want any of their friends from near or far to feel it is necessary to attend the services on Sunday. You were there when Bucky was still here and that's what matters the most.
