Aaron James Chamley 1972 -2020

Aaron James Chamley, 48, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September 6, 2020 from a massive heart attack.

Aaron was born on August 26, 1972 in Lee’s Summit, Missouri to James and Carolyn Chamley. Aaron graduated from Higginsville High School in 1991 and went on to be a World Champion in the Little Britches Rodeo Association that same year. He attended Northwest Missouri State University on a rodeo scholarship. Aaron competed in calf roping and team roping while he was there.

For all of his life he wanted to move to Texas. His job finally took him there in June of 2014. A lifelong dream had finally come true. Aaron not only was in his dream state, he also had his dream job at NAU Country Crop Insurance. His coworkers and customers quickly became family.

Aaron enjoyed golfing, roping, surfing, and being with friends and family. Roping gained him numerous friends all over the country. Among Aaron’s accomplishments were that he was a five-time IRCA Champion Header, 2011 Iowa’s Best Roper, five-time Great Lakes Circuit Finals contestant, and many more roping accomplishments. Roping eventually led him to meet Tami, who he had planned to spend the rest of his life with.

At the end of his life he lived in Willow Park, TX with Tami and his beautiful daughter, Hailey. There he was able to do what he loved which was rope everyday with his forever roping partners.
