Brad Apo - 1981-2019
Brad Lee Kapi’ina Apo, 38, of Makawao, passed away on September 2, 2019 in Wailuku. He was born on June 11, 1981 in Wailuku.
Brad was a construction manager for Hawaiian Dredging. Brad was a well-known Maui cowboy, certainly one of the top team ropers in Hawaii. Brad was pulled from the water off Hana on September 1st. Officials say Apo was found floating face down in the water about 50 feet from shore. Emergency Medical Services were able to restore his pulse and he was flown to Kahului for more treatment. However, he passed the next day.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Ballard Family Mortuary, memorial service at 11 a.m.
He is survived by his wife, Lei Apo; daughters, Lehiwa and Lahela Apo; parents, Bryce and Leona Apo; brother, Corey (Misty) Apo; sisters, Kelsey (Kekupa’a) Naeole, Lacey Apo (Ryan Cabral); grandmother, Madeline “Nina” Tavares; God-Children, Kaimi Fuentes, Austin Elioka Gomes, Azarin Gomes, Jax Victorino; mother-in-law, Janice Baisa; sisters-in-law, Janalene “Loke” (Donny) Poouahi, Janell “Meli” (Wesley) Purdy, Ellissa “Manu” (Derrick) Baisa-Gomes; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and his rodeo ohana.
