With a full day of roping through four rotations on Friday and one more on Saturday, the short round of the #9 WSTR Finale came down to the wire. The short round, high call team of Tim Jarriel and his nephew Matt Jarriel claimed the championship with only .22 seconds to spare. The Jarriel’s who live, rope and work in the small town of Collins, GA roped their final steer in a smooth 8.70 seconds to secure the championship worth $334,000. The #9 WSTR Finale finished as the second biggest roping of the 2017 WSTR. The total payout of the #9 WSTR Finale was $1,954,000!
