Dr. William Louis "Bill” Joslin 1955-2016


 Bill Joslin, 61, of Buckeye passed away on December 1, 2016. Bill was born in Phoenix AZ March 25 1955 to Mary Catherine and Louis Foster Joslin on his brother Robert "Bob" Joslin's 14th birthday. He grew up in Palo Verde AZ where he was active in 4-H and FFA, raised several prize steers and played Football, Basketball and Baseball before graduating from Buckeye Union High School(1973). He earned his Bachelor's degree from Northern Arizona University (1977) and his DVM from Colorado State University (1981). He returned to Arizona where he established Estrella Animal Hospital and Estrella Equine Practice. He was heavily involved in promoting veterinary medicine in Arizona and served as CAzVMA President in 1993, AzVMA President in 2005 and was named the AzVMA Veterinarian of the year in 2014. He loved riding horses and team roping and was a member of the Westside, Buckeye, and Liberty Sheriff's posses. He won numerous team roping awards including 5th place in the World Series of Team Roping Finals in Las Vegas in 2008. Bill was so loving and proud of his three sons Nicholas (Heidi), Taylor (Melissa) and Sean, step-daughter Chloe as well as his brother Robert (Lorna) of Lander WY. He especially enjoyed his granddaughters Catherine and Morgan in the last years of his life. He is now reunited with his parents as well as his sister Janie.
