Larry Hileman 1950- 2015




Lawrence "Larry" A. Hileman, 65, following roping practice session, slumped in his saddle and passed away on Friday, June 26, 2015 in Wimberley, TX. Larry was born May 4, 1950 in Liberal, KS to Sy and Lois Rose Hileman. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Rose Hileman. He is survived by his father; Sy Hileman, his loving wife of nearly 34 years, Carmen Zuniga Hileman; three children, Cody Littlestar and wife Trudy, Sonja Odom – Hunt and husband Gary, and Tanner Sy Hileman with Meagan Forney; brother, Greg Hileman, sister, Debbie Long, and four grandchildren, Sydney, Shelby, Love, and Kinlei. Larry is also survived by many other loving relatives and dear friends. Team roping was a passion of Larry’s, and there is no better way that God could have called him to go home then doing what he loved, in an arena, horse back. His love for his family and his giving nature to his grandchildren and others is something that will always be remembered and cherished. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 PM Tuesday, June 30,, 2015 at Crofts – Crow Funeral Home, 911 Mesquite, Blanco, TX 78606. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at the Blanco Cowboy Church, 245 Blanco Cowboy Church Trl., Blanco, TX 78606, burial will follow in Wimberley Cemetery, Old Kyle Rd. Wimberley, Texas. A reception will follow at the Wimberley VFW, 401 Jacobs Well Rd, Wimberley, TX 78676.
