Bill Green 1934 - 2017

 

Bill G. Green, 83, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, at his home in Quemado, N.M. He was born Jan. 12, 1934, in Lovington, N.M., the son of William Fletcher Green and Rose Lucille Gardner Green.

Bill was a cattle rancher for all of his life. Ranchers never retire. He was a true cowboy. Bill ran the Hubble Cattle Company for 22 years. He then leased the land and ran it for another 20 years. Bill was a loving husband and father. He was a great example of honesty, integrity and compassion. He will be missed.

Bill is survived by his spouse of 58½ years, Karolie Clawson Green; sons Bill F. (Dawn Rae Olivera) Green, of Quemado, and Buster F. (Sharon L. Woods) Green, of Quemado; daughter Anne Lee (Joseph M.) Bond, of Quemado; brother Dennis Delbert Green, of Delta Junction, Alaska; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Robert Fletcher Green and James William Green.
