Daniel Paul Dismuke 1960-2014

Daniel Paul Dismuke passed away peacefully from an aneurysm in the early morning of August 30th. Daniel is preceded in death by his father William D. (Bill) Dismuke and his mother Joan Dismuke. He is survived by his wife Catherine, daughters Danielle, Hannah and Gia, his sister Ruth Blakely and husband Stuart, his brother Mark Dismuke and wife Cathy, his brother Stephen Dismuke and wife Danielle, nephews Roy Dismuke and Jack Dismuke, nieces Neita Miller, Eva Blakely, Mackenzie Dismuke, Dylan Rose Dismuke, and grandnephews Adian and Carson Dismuke.

Daniel was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and was a lifelong New Mexico resident. A graduate of New Mexico State University, Daniel was co-owner of Dismuke Construction Company with his brother Mark. Daniel grew up in the Quarter Horse industry; showing horses and rodeoing as a youth. For many years he raised Corriente cattle alongside his mother and siblings. We was an avid team roper, loved a good game of golf and a good joke. He will always be remembered for his easy smile and heart of gold. To quote Daniel, "It's all good."

Daniel was devoted to his three daughters and wife. He was a genuine friend to people from many walks of life. He cherished his special needs daughter Gia and worked hard to protect her joyous, loving, free spirit. A remembrance for Daniel will be held Saturday, September 6th at 1:00 PM at Sandia Resort. Donations for the Gia Joan Dismuke Custodial Fund will be accepted at Bank of America.
